Glen Group is committed to being a responsible and engaged member of the local community. We support commercial and public organisations and look to source locally or regionally because we know the importance of contributing to our communities.
We support a number of charities and local clubs and we are passionate about helping children to achieve their ambitions. We have an especially strong reputation for encouraging sport in the community, particularly amongst young, up-and-coming athletes.
Here are some examples of community projects we’ve been involved with. For more details on our corporate social responsibility policy, please contact IainLewis@glencleaning.co.uk.
Wedmore Under 9’s football
We want to encourage young people to take part in sport and to learn from fun and constructive events. We’re proud to say that we sponsor Wedmore under 9’s Football Club by providing their football shirts.
The photograph above includes our very own MD Iain Lewis sharing his coaching skills with the team, may your shirts always be lucky boys!
Glen Cleaning Donates to St. Cyres School
In partnership with Barry Tourist Railway, St Cyres School and the Vale of Glamorgan, we helped the Barry at War Group present a ‘wartime weekend’ commemorative event in June 2012.
The event commemorated the 70th anniversary of US troops in the area as part of the build up for the liberation of Europe.
We were very happy to play our part in this by sponsoring pupils at St Cyres School to run a radio station throughout the weekend. Since that time we have also been sponsoring the school’s annual Awards Evening for the Years 7 to 10.
Each year, the pupils invited to this evening have excelled in one way or another by displaying commitment, excellence and endeavour at their school or local community.

Lorraine Godfrey, Operations Director, presented an award for Outstanding progress to Shauna-Leigh Ellis, in Year 10.
On behalf of Glen Cleaning we would like to congratulate everyone who attended in March 2013 and we wish you all continued success at school.
South Wales Police thanks Glen Cleaning
In February 2013, the Deputy Chief Constable of the South Wales Police wrote to thank us for our continuing support of their Annual Awards ceremony – this is something we are very proud to be associated with given our long term contractual relationship with them.
“I write to thank you for the generosity you showed in sponsoring the South Wales Police Annual Awards 2012. Your support has enabled us to recognise the hard work of police officers, staff and volunteers who, on a daily basis, go above and beyond the call of duty to help keep the communities of South Wales safe.”
