British Sign Language Passes into Law

We have a number of deaf and hearing-impaired people in the business and historic legislation, BSL Act 2002 now recognises British Sign Language as a language in England, Wales and Scotland in its own right.

Figures from the British Deaf Association suggest that 151,000 people use BSL in the UK, 87,000 of whom are D/deaf.

Congratulations to Diane Walker, Service Delivery Manager from Swindon, on passing level 1 & 2 of the British Sign Language Course.
